I’ve waited years (all right maybe not) for this and it finally arrived! However there’s still a problem left… My internet service provider instead of hooking me up to ADSL2 which is what I signed up for, they hooked me up to ADSL instead by accident. Long story short, my internet is slow to the crawl now. There are a couples of vlogs that I want to upload but I can’t now. I rang them and hopefully they will fix it by Wednesday. At least I still have bearable decent connection now and can resume my blogging.
Since I’m already here, I’m going to talk about the Razer Arcosta keyboard which I bought last week (alongside with all the parts of the new PC I recently built). Razer is a well-known manufacturer for gaming devices like mouse and keyboard. Initially I thought this was a cool keyboard, and it is REALLY cool, have a look:
Yes, you didn’t miss anything, the keys on the keyboard are virtually invisible. If you want to look at the keys, you have to put it directly to a light source and look very closely. I even used HDR to enhance the lighting and the keys are still invisible. It’s like Razer decided to have black keys on a black keyboard. In case you’re wondering why, I have no idea why is this so too. I understand if Razer doesn’t want to place back LED on this one, because its one of the cheaper model… but can’t they at least make it white? I’m really struggling to type a word without having to go back and edit it. Nonetheless, it does looks cool with its all black colour, and professional. It also does perform very well in games, the keys are very sensitive and comfortable to press. I will look so awesome typing on a keyboard with invisible keys and it would be so funny to laugh at my friend while they’re struggling with the keyboard. This needs some time and patience to get used to. Anybody want to give this keyboard a shot?
Overall I would give this product 2 stars out of 5. The only reason to buy this keyboard is its name (Razer FTW!), its gaming looks and in game performance. However the difference are very subtle so I would suggest you to buy other keyboards like Logitech which not only is it more user friendly, it will also save you a couple of dollars.
